Hello All,
I'm having problems with sound on my laptop in Kubuntu.
It worked when it arrived with windoze installed, so I think the
hardware must be ok.
I've downloaded and installed the latest alsa-{driver,lib,utils}-1.0.13
with no errors.
Run alsaconf: it sees the card correctly and says it is configured.
Run alsamixer and checked for mute etc.
Playing a cd produces a pretty picture of exploding thingys in space (or
something) but no sound.
