I too am a genealogy fan! I use Gramps to create my tree - have done for a 
fair old while now and find it a great little program. The developer, Don, is 
very approachable if you ever have any problems.

Do you mean actually running the command eg wine Desktop Sudoku or whatever? 
Try wine Desktop\ Sudoku  instead. From the command line, using the character 
\ before a space works.
