I'd much sooner have a PDF than a word doc, and so all the documents I send are PDF. In fact I'm seeing very few word documents at all, the last set of specifications I received were all PDF, the invoices I receive are PDF and the documents I download (academic papers, white papers, presentations from conferences) are PDF. Given I download documents and read them outside of the browser, I won't find this a problem.
