Thats set a few bells ringing and I just checked something - I generally use
firefox (1.5) and often it is slow resolving fresh names - I put it down to
my ISP. However I've just started to play with NVU and it uses mozilla for
showing how the pages look. That resolves pretty fast. Konquerer is fast too.
Thats on Suse9.2
I went to test on a w2k machine and firefox on that resolves slowly, IE fast.
I went to my other linux box, Mozilla resolves fast firefox slowly!!Suse 10.1
I'm on a 512k broadband, having come down from 2M and I never noticed it
before.
By fast I mean type new name in the browser and its 'waiting for reply' if
not loading and slow is a second or two of looking up.

So wassa matter with firefox?
Tom
