I > must admit I am hoping for a graphical interface but if I need to go command > line could someone tell me how please? > gpg normaly creates a keyring for you, when you run it first it should have created a "secring" and a "pubring" in your home dir under ~/.gnupg/ You can check that your key is in your gpg ring with a gpg --list-keys to import a new key use "--recv-key" eg: gpg -recy-key 0x3b7ee764 or you can use email address instead of the short fingerprint.
