I installed SlamD64 a while back and had some real hassles with it. Limited driver support and, vitally important, problems with running SDL libs and other gaming goodies. Even using compatability drivers was no use - so I gave up. Some things worked OK, but for my gaming, it was a non-starter. Some of the problem may have been unfamiliarity with Slack based distros - I prefer the Debian way in general - good old apt :) Having just installed 32 bit Kubuntu the day it was released and finding it very pleasant to use, I can see myself grabbing the 64bit version for testing out now :) I have a gig of ram, so hopefully things will be good :) Mark -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
