gpg --refresh-keys

        (i might be off on that a bit, but should work)

Root logins to KDE are a bad idea, switch to console mode... or when
logged in as a normal use the command "su -"

without root access, you can't... with root access (see above) you need
to edit /etc/fstab

In /etc/X11/xorg.conf look for a line starting "VertRefresh" copy and
paste is good practice.. comment out the current line, and edit a new one...
