Don't think its that uncommon, i have/had two of these, i think it might be a 
older style of scsi connector though.  I am pretty sure that the controller 
card I used had a DB?? on the PC to a Centronics 50 on the device. So an 
appropriate cable may be all that is required.

for example look at this item (it will have finished by the time you look at 
it but the info is good)

It supports scsi 1,2 and 3 and ultrawide so looks like scsi is suitably 
backward compatable.
