I must be getting old. I'm trying to wean myself off of NT, which gets used a lot around here because it's a nice programming environment. And I know RedHat 8.0 does big files because I can write them, but I can't for the life of me come up with a combination of C compiler options that doesn't result in the redefinition of off64_t as off_t and have lseek return 32 bits. Which isn't enough. Anyone done this successfully ? jd -- John Daragon argv[0] limited john@xxxxxxxxxx Lambs Lawn Cottage, Staple Fitzpaine, Taunton TA3 5SL, UK (house) 01460 234537 (office) 01460 234068 (mobile) 07836 576127 (fax) 01460 234069 -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
