To install the NVIDIA drivers under SuSE try the follow:

init 3
su

cd /usr/src/linux
make cloneconfig
make dep

in the /usr/src/linux run the following exactly

export IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH=yes

run the shell app sh NVIDIA.......run

SAX2

enable  3D stuff
