I've tried eching the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and that gives me '/usr/lib' as expected. Looking at the config.log, it is apparent that the problem lies with configure not finding the C++ header files (e.g. malloc.h). I have tried to specify the path of these in configure: FreeBSD# ./configure --libdir=/usr/lib --includedir=/usr/include --oldincludedir=/usr /include but this makes no difference. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Simon Waters" <Simon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 11, 2003 11:28 AM Subject: Re: [LUG] Installing htdig on freebsd > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Robert Nowik wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I changed the shell conf file (.cshrc in the users home) by adding the > line > > > > setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /usr/lib > > > I don't do Freebsd or C shells... but did you start/restart a csh after > this edit?
