IANAL

It's legal, if you dont modify equipment. Most sites you see are U.S. sites, 
where you can modify 2.4GHz sender to 1W output, instead of 100mW thats 
normal. In the uk you cant. However the radio authoirty will work with you if 
you do cause interference.
