My original problem was it crashed

At present I have created a user called
paul with no password but just =
I have used linuxconf, useradd and
adduser, I have had this problem =
before under x but managed to create
a user under console mode as root,=20
I am not sure what I am doing wrong,
I generally create a user with no =
password then add one using the passwd
command as this seems more =
reliable, but I should not have to
do this, (however I will try as =
