[LUG] more journaling filesystems..



..than you can shake a stick at.

I'm sure everybody's already aware that IBM is putting its money where its
mouth is on the linux front (along with sgi) but now they have added
another journaling filesystem (ie all disk/memory writes/mods are
journaled or something like that, if that doesn't give you sufficient
reason to think its cool do a whatis on it).

That means that Linux has 2 complete journaling filesystems suitable for
bleeding edge but not stable yet (IBMs JFS and ReiserFS), Most of a 64 bit
heavy duty journaling FS that needs more work (SGI's XFS) and another that
I can't remember the details of - thats pretty cool eh? Of course these
will be or are available for FreeBSD too of course (ditto pretty much all
linux software, etc - much fertile crosspolination between *BSD and linux,
very good thing).
