Thanks for this, I will create another ssh-keypair so I can upload the
public key to the OpenBSD server I have access to.

Yes; OpenSSH is created by the same team as OpenBSD, so in this case it's exactly
the same procedure on Linux as on OpenBSD.
Note that most Linux distributions use a different service management daemon to the
traditional one used by the BSD operating systems. So if you can't connect, make
sure that the OpenSSH server is running on the remote server; instructions are in
this manual page:
