[LUG]Re: ssh remote logins

Technically you can use the same key but it might be better to generate new keys on each machine so you can revoke access on a machine my machine basis.
Get it clear in your mind which is the private key and which is the public key and only share the public.

Hi All

I have set up a Raspberry Pi on my local LAN and can log in to this via ssh, I have also set up an ssh key so I can log in remotely across the LAN without a password.

If I want to log in from other computers (e.g laptop) on the same LAN do I need to set up a different key on each computer or can I copy the key from my desktop to the other computers.

I will still need to run ssh-copy-id for each other computer.

Thanks
