[LUG]Fail 2 ban error

 

Hi

I have set up a Raspberry Pi with a minetest server, I am trying to add some security to this. I have installed fail2ban (which Henry introduced me to years ago). Following the instructions at

I am logged in via ssh, not sure if this is significant.

If I issue the following command
sudo systemctl status fail2ban.service

The terminal opens up a text editor wit the following

if I also run

sudo fail2ban-client status sshd

Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions please, in the mean time I will keep trying and do some more searching for information.
