Even supposing you had a genuine need for telco grade networking equipment,if it's not trusted enough for core infrastructure why would you want it your network instead?

Plus there's going to be limited support and security updates for these things.

The weee skip is the right place for it.

Because for open public use it works. You could set up several small countries mobile and internet usage with this stuff and I have little doubt that its as secure if not more so than anything from the US. Its been around long enough for no-one to actually find any verifiable leaks and even if it does so what - there are enough ways of encrypting stuff to keep things private. While Huawei are dodgy (who isnt at that level) noone has actually come up with any real evidence that it is compromised, it seems all about protectionism.
