TL;DR - don't give your phone number or email address to -anyone- you don't trust. I
have negligible problems on my landline (which I -very- rarely answer anyways -
always goes to voicemail, which is never left) and precious few calls on my mobile
(which equally I rarely use, and -never- give out to anyone but friends, bank, HMRC,
etc).
