> Just to let everyone know about a few upcoming events > Shellcon > https://shellcon.io/ > 9-10 October > One workshop in this is a AWS Pentesting > https://shellcon.io/talks/2020/pentest-playground-in-aws/ This looks very interesting - into the calendar it goes! It was not what I was expecting from the name: I thought that maybe it would be a shell scripting event, but it is in fact a security conference. A great thing about participating in events online is that anyone with a PC and a connection can join, and indeed for this event, can do so free of charge. Note, however that the workshops (like the AWS one mentioned) are $20 each. > October 12 International day aganst DRM > https://www.defectivebydesign.org/dayagainstdrm/2019 This event does not seem to be happening this year (the year in that URL is 2019), but there is a rather amusing book cover on their site: https://defectivebydesign.org/dayagainstdrm/2019/dust-jacket On the front, parodying DRM software, there is the writing "You are not allowed to view the contents of this book" - what a fun way to lure the curious around you into a discussion about the problems that DRM causes for free software!
