I cannot reproduce this issue.
In Chromium:

1. Open https://www.elnuevodia.com/
2. Tell Google not to translate the page for me.
3. Copy first line (I used right click and copy this time) - Indicó que
agentes federales la entrevistaron sobre una pesquisa
4. Open translate.google.com in a new tab (elnuevodia is still open)
5. Input field still says "Detect Language"
6. Paste text
7. Input field says "Spanish - Detected"

Works as expected?

Note: from Google: "Upcoming changes to history.
Translation history will soon only be available when you are signed in
and will be centrally managed within My Activity. Past history will be
cleared during this upgrade, so make sure to save translations you want
to remember for ease of access later."
