Re: [LUG] Random shutdowns

The laptop is only just a year old... it is a clevo chassis bought from PC Specialists who I have to say have been fairly rubbish in their help in almost every respect.
I'm not sure if it is a software/hardware issue, it doesn't seem to follow any particular pattern. This is why I hoped someone could look through the log file(s) and check if anything is glaringly obvious in the software...
I haven't cleaned the cooling system and haven't taken it apart to re-apply compounds...
I guess after virus stuff last year I wanted to make sure nothing untoward was causing me these issues.
I have W10 installed too, but have not spent significant time using it to see if the same problem occurs. Given that this maybe happens once every couple of weeks (or sometimes twice daily!) I'm not sure if using the windows install will help identify the issue any further.
Faint/feint I knew what you meint!
Thanks again all you linux guys (&gals!?)
Anthony

MS-Word may say 'damaged file' to discourage this but should open the attachment(s) anyway.
