I think I have a Asus Xonar around here somewhere .. they seemed to be a well-reviewed card or you can stick by the traditional Creative Labs route .. https://www.scan.co.uk/shop/computer-hardware/soundcards/internal-sound-cards . Am I to suspect you want/need some form of Linux hardware support? Even if so, I should imagine there are kernel drivers around ...
