Maybe what that is needed here is a page that is sync'd with the blog,
that way it looks active, people are more likely to visit the website
that way.  People on fb can find us easily,  which to me is the most
important,  once they find us, they can choose how to interact with the
group.

Surely there is room for a few solutions here,  like I said before
people are busy so automating this so that it 'works' is fine, and
keeping an eye on it,  so that if it does break,  someone here using fb
can hopefully just post to the list and say the blog->fb isn't working,
it can be fixed, usually quickly by someone in the know.
