Re: [LUG] MS to buy oyut GitHub?

As there are alternatives, then perhaps, if, this does happen it is a
case of just signing up to for example bitbucket, copying projects over,
deleting github and making a clear statement as to why?

As it is also possible to host your own git server perhaps as a Linux
user group we could do that, may have to ALL chip in to cover the cost,
but is this something that is do-able.

How many people here use git?
How many people here would move?
How many people here would be willing to PAY or contribute for a lug
hosted service?

If you read the article MS does have code on github, Any take over
seems to remove that autonomy.
