Re: [LUG] Spreadsheets

Hi Guys

Thanks for the reply. I looked at using a more advanced budget sheet but they seem over the top for what I want to do.

An example of what I am hoping to do:
June
Income
15th Child Tax Credits Â400 (four weekly)
27th Salary Â2000 (monthly)

Expenditure
1st Council tax Â150 (every 1st of month)
31st Mortage Â500 (every last day of the month)

Because child tax credits pay every four weeks this means in one month of the year we get 2 payments.

I was hoping to create a first page which showed balance, expense and income.
Page 2 Âwould show monthly spending. So manual input. Every time I spend Â25 on fuel then this would go in here.
Page 3 would show fixed budget items as above.

All figures are purely fictional!Â

Any help would be brilliant. If Philip is happy I can work offline with him and then post the results back if anyone is interested.

Thanks

I think so, but as always it depends on the detail of what you want to do.

At its simplest, you would just enter every dd or so into a worksheet, and then use pivot tables to create a summary by date (you can filter by specific dates or by month.)

If you want something more than that (for example automated creation of transaction or analysis by expense code) then you might find it easier to use something like Gnucash.

Happy to help you develop a template if you can let me have some anonymous example data and more detail on required outputs.

Hi

I am trying to create a family budget on a spreadsheet. However, I want to record transactions as they happen on a four weekly and monthly basis. This is for our main bills account. I don't want to track every expense just so's and dd's etc...

Is it possible to do this in LibreOffice please?

Thanks
