I should have added that to access the router's settings, you should
connect a machine to it - you mentioned that when you did, you were able
to connect to the Internet - and then browse to http://192.168.0.1/
After you changed these settings and assuming all went well, the router
will get a new IP address and you can access it via http://10.0.0.250/
and then you can connect it back to the switch.
I hope you have at least the username and password of the router. The
defaults appear to be admin and password respectively.
