Hi Tom, What does the software's license say about that? ;o) TBH, as long as you're not using Windows, then technically, keeping the same VM is technically in keeping with the spirit of the license (namely you're not installing on >1 device), however, how does the software house know that you're not cloning the VM? I'd say that you're probably in a dodgy area there... (from a "legal" point of view - IANAL) The other point is on the practical side - does the software perform well in a VM? Hardware interfacing is / can be a nightmare... and there is that additional layer of complexity which can slow a VM down (unless it's a chroot style VM, but I'm guessing you're not in that place if you're changing MAC addresses...)
