coming back to this again sorry but i think the standard out there in
tetternet is to have subject tags or whatever the proper name is for
them to have more detais.

examples

[Wolves] for wolvehampton Linux User Group - not the best but ha ho
does what says on the tin

[Talk-gb-westmidlands] birmingham talks for openstreetmapping
team/group

[SB] should really be SBLUG South Birmingham LUG

etc
etc
not everyone following a standard really in the LUG world i guess it
free and easy and relax etc

what i would like is the tag too be changed too [DCLUG] or whatever
something easy to pick out which are from devon and west midlands

not having a dig or anything trying to be helpfully but english is bad
for me with dysleixa

So rather than you use an email client (or server software) that can
filter on various message criteria (from/to/etc.) you want the rest of
the world to change. Good luck with that :)

You shouldn't be filtering on subject anyway - well you can - but most lists these days have a List-Id: header which you can filter on. e.g. the List-Id here is:

List-Id: The Devon & Cornwall and SW LUGs general discussion list
      <list.dcglug.org.uk>

So I filter on that.
