[LUG] Fwd: BCS South West Branch - 'Social Media in the Business World'

Someone was asking about British Computing Society south of Bristol.

We do have our very own South West Branch. Here is the next event, which is in Topsham.

BCS South-West Events
Social Media in the Business World, 25th February 2013, 19:30

DearÂBranch Members,

Our next event of the 2012-13 season sees a return to The Malt House at The Bridge Inn, Topsham (near Exeter) with a talk from Chris Wood of Q Social Media. During his talk Chris will ask âWhy are so many businesses becoming active on social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn? What are businesses doing now? What works well? What about the future? What about other platforms such as Google+, and Pinterest?â. If you would like to join us for an interesting discussion, lively debate and a chance to sample some of the real ales then please register at the branch website.

Booking:
In order to ensure sufficient numbers for the event and to book catering, we ask all attendees to book via the website (http://www.bcs-southwest.org.uk/).

BCS South West events are open toÂeveryone, eligible for CPD and (unless otherwise indicated) free of charge. The pre-booking system is only used to allow rooms and catering to be arranged. Please note that most presentations will now be video-recorded and we aim to make videos available via our YouTube channel shortly after each event.

Regards,

Paul DowlandÂ(on behalf ofÂthe BCS SouthWest Committee)

Full details of the forthcoming branch events and maps are available from the BCS South West Branch website (http://www.bcs-southwest.org.uk/).
