My current distro is no longer supported. I am busy preparing for it. However, after a lot of researching and testing via VBox I have decided to go with Mint Maya Xfce. I prefer it to Xubuntu plus it is a LTS version until 2017. Just a thought for you. If you are having problems with Xubuntu, how about looking at Maya?
