When I say stopped working, I mean they're still there, I can login and type commands, I just don't see anything.With 12.04, if X11 crashes and freezes the desktop, I sometimes get to see my consoles.I've subscribed to the nVidia Ubuntu PPA to get the latest drivers which help with other problems I have with 12.04I can't remember the exact chronology but didn't Ubuntu do a major upgrade to the latest X11 a few versions back? I think this was when my previously rock-solid system started playing up.I'm using a PYE 6000 series nVidia card. Maybe it's time for an upgrade. Any suggestions anyone?Martin
