Not sure exactly what sort of content filtering you are after but, I recommend OpenDNS Family Shield to my clients with young children who want an easy system.

All you do is :

1) Create an OpenDNS account
2) Log onto your router and change the name server addresses to the OpenDNS ones
3) Go into your settings and adjust the categories that you want to filter

It won't block everything but, it certainly helps.
