I attended the Holsworthy Meeting 18th June past and was surprised as a new member that there was not more support.
However this worked in my favour and I would like to say that the assistance freely given by Tom and Neil was much appreciated. With their assistance my Viglen mini desktop is now functioning correctly and they have pointed me in the direction of SSH rather than Remote Desktop that I had been attempting to use. Tom 'graphically' illustrated how little resource is used by running from the Terminal (as a former Windozer I had never even thought about this and am pleased that I bought the Viglen because all I want to do is text based !!). I will in future not be so scared of the command line but realise that I have oodles to learn !! I would like to thank all those who offered advice on this subject. Regards Arley |
