Re: [LUG] OT: Cars was Re: Is anyone actually going today?

I learned about engines by just opening the bonnet and doing it. I just had to hope I could remember how to put it back together. Rebuilt loads of engines and not broken one yet. I would say just get a good set of sockets and a haynes manual.

However one of the rear suspension springs had broken. How, I don't
know. I've never had that on any car I've ever owned. It's 4 years old

I'm thinking that I should learn a bit more about car maintenance.  I don't know much at the moment (to give you an idea, I can't even do an oil change).  I figure if I do some sort of car maintenance course at college on an evening then I can at least learn the basics, oil changes, brakes and such.

Maybe I could then bodge together an in-car PC and demonstrate Linux :-D (see there is a Linux related bit in there).
