I'd noticed the rather sudden rise of Chrome in recent months, from our stats it has overtaken IE6 (finally). Globally I see IE8 and FF neck and neck, but the total IE we see still significantly exceeds FF. This is depressing, I'd rather see IE8 well in the lead, than a significant number of IE7/IE6 users since it suggests they are intent on joining a bot army. I don't see that much Safari, but given how dreadful the Windows version is I think that is no surprise. Statcounter are claiming a number proportion for Safari than the proportion of MacOS users, unless perhaps they are counting iPhones and/or unrepresentative sites. The iPhone is distinct enough it probably should be listed separately - no Flash for example. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
