[LUG] OT - CRC erros, failed downloads, missing blocks and incorrect md5s...

Hi there

Thought i'd post this as off topic as it isnt truly linux specific

The problem ive got is as follows...

Im running ubuntu 10.04.1 as a media server with sabnzbdplus set to grab nzbs from a laptop on the network, auto download them and share to to revos running boxee around the house...

Ive just setup an identical system at a friends house but usenet downloads have about a 90% failure rate.

The router is connected to a wrt320n linksys running dd-wrt, this is connected via cat6 to a wag320n which is upstairs on the main socket (did this to help sync speed as i need the wifi downstairs and there is a revo upstairs too).

Ive got a filtered faceplate on the main socket, ive tried it with the faceplate off and ran the router on the main bt test socket... no difference here either. Basically every download over 500mb fails, and every iso that downloads gives the incorrect md5 result.... any ideas what could be causing this?

Dave
