Audacity Its in the Mint repro I have not mastered multi tracks and layering but just fading and gluing together MP3s oggs etc works great. Make sure the Export to Mp3 feature is compiled in. when setting up I have had trouble getting it to record, but my current settings of [from Edit preferences, Quality] Default Sample rate 4800khz and Default Sample Format 24 Bit work fine. to test it just use the Mike or play something from rhythm box or whatever and press record.
