Just like to express my appreciation to all at the Paignton meet, you were instrumental in getting me up and running with Ubuntu on this laptop bought to dedicate to Linux. Particular thanks in this process to Rob who sorted an issue in my other partitioned machine to give me enough confidence that Ubuntu was ready for an ordinary home user, to Paul and especially Tom for the install and sorting the printing issues. It is hard to express the subtle sense of freedom it has given, one that only comes from having an open source OS and an experience that Microsoft just cannot give but then, you all already know that!
