I second that although my reason for MP3s is that I listen to them on a bus so don't tend to notice the difference as much, might change when I get the ear-canal-phones, ear plugs, ear defenders and a shed load of silicon sealant making sure none of the outside noise gets in.

My dad plays me music and says "What format is that?" and I say "Ooh can't be more than 128kbps mp3" and get it right.
Ogg is OK, mainly if I have space concerns. but I much prefer FLAC of course!

Yep I try and use Flac at home when listening to stuff (or in some cases DTS for surround sound CDs) and VBR MP3 for when I'm on the move, simply because my phone won't play OGG.
