Hi,  following on from the recent thread on BECTA, they got back to me
and pointed me in the direction of the open source schools project.

Looking at the case study for tux paint,  I still get the impression
they miss the point on free software,  yes tux paint is free as in cost,
 but its not clear this is meant to be free as in freedom.

To be honest though, the way of getting in there is not to talk about freedoms (I've lost count of how many people turn off when I say freedom). Get them to try the software and then introduce things like Free Software (which IIRC isn't the same as Open Source per se).

LOL, okay maybe that could do with some re-wording.
