Re: [LUG] KVM Switch

I use a StarView 4 Way KVM made by StarTech (www.startech.com) – Bought from EBuyer for about £30.00 many moons ago (but they probably still do them albeit the price may have gone up).

It has both Automatic and Manual Selection (via a Button on the top of the connector) of the Ports – My only caveat is I’ve never managed to get all four switches working at once but I think this is because it needs to be powered and I can’t find (or never got) a power lead for it; without power though I have managed to get three of the ports working at once and it’s in daily use.

There are no USB/DVI etc connectors on this box.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Dave.

Subject: [LUG] KVM Switch

I'm looking for a KVM switch, just 2x PS2 and VGA with a (pref 4, though 2 would do for now) way selector switch. No USB/DVI/Hotkey/Automatic modes or nasty software required.

Anyone have any thoughts on where I might look?

Thanks in advance.

Nick
