The simple answer is, it depends where you are. Coverage is patchy with all the operators. Vodafone does have better than some. I used one of these when my ex-ISP (Entanet) accidentally disconnected me for 1 month. I used a borrowed Vodafone USB modem with good speeds for a couple of days, enough to convince me to buy one. But since then I've had a poor signal at home. If the cell is operating at high load they wind the signal strength down, which shrinks the cell. If you are on the edges, as I am, you will lose the signal. If you are one the move forget it. I've had great difficulty getting any sort of service on a moving train. "Mobile" in this context seems to mean that you can be anywhere, not that you can be moving.
