Has anyone experienced problems with Suse 11.1 and wifi?

HP Pavilion Laptop with Intel 3945ABG connection very erratic with KNetwork Manager under DHCP and Personal settings with link dropping in and out. Reverting to Suse 10.3 and the same setting is rock solid. GRUB also seems to dislike changes to the MBR after installion refusing to recognise second drive under battery power whilst fine under mains power.

Desk machine fine.
