Hmm. I understand but I don't get that a release date has been set and the mirrors weren't synced before-hand in preparation.

To my customers, a release date is a release date - not a date when we might start thinking about the possibility of letting them have some code...

I guess the RC could be OK, I was hoping for just one hit, not a faff

Disappointing.

Not helping.

The mirrors around the world sync from the central servers. The
release doesn't happen until the mirrors are synced. If everyone
pounds the central servers then it slows down the sync.
