I'm sold on those Atom's now.  Sods law I've just been given a P4 2.4GHz
CPU and memory and a Celeron D 3.33GHz CPU too.  Shame they're so high
powered.  Oh well, time to upgrade the kids PC I think.

I'm putting a webpage together with all the kernel .config's for the various boards I use - I'll drop a line here when it's done. (I tend to compile up custom kernels with just what's needed and no modules)

I can't (yet) get the speedstep stuff going, but I suspect it's because it's not supported yet (kernel boot time messages dvise me to email the cpufreq list!) - however I suspect the gains to be made are marginal because the CPU is already quite low power, it's the northbridge that's soaking up the juice...
