Hmm, if it was just A4 I'd suggest a multi function laser printer, that 
way you can copy pages or just print them.  I picked up a Samsung Colour 
Laser/Scanner/Copier for about £170 (toners are about £15 per colour).

You might be worth looking at A3 laser printers but I'd guess you'd be 
probably looking around a grand, and that's without scanning facility.
