Hi everyone. I keep seeing id lines at the start of open source code files- they look a bit like this: <!-- $Id: about_en.html,v 1.2 2005/11/05 12:35:36 aurb Exp $ --> # $Id: index.py,v 1.2 2005/11/05 12:43:26 aurb Exp $ What are these called? Are they generated by some editor or packager or is this a global standard that authors put in by hand? Thanks.
