[LUG] Sis650 driver problem

I've got an ubuntu box with a sis650 card using 32Meg of shared memory.
It used to run fine - 1600*1200 32 bit etc. 
I plugged in a different keyboard and set that up and now I can only use 
1024*768 and the system seems to think its got 256k ram for the card!!!
How can I get back to where I was?
