Re: [LUG] Chumby anyone?

Haven't seen them myself, though I did a quick check, and it is a custom Linux distro running on it. On their official wiki they have a page about the default software in the distro.

This looks really quite cool. Linux.com has a comprehensive review of it. The official site lists $179 as the price and they currently have a US only policy, although they're considering opening the UK market later on.

Just been browsing around with no specific intention and came across the
Chumby (www.chumby.com).
It's tech specs are as follows (from their site):

   * 3.5" LCD color touchscreen
   * Two external USB 2.0 full-speed ports
   * 350 MHz ARM processor
   * 64 MB SDRAM
   * 64 MB NAND flash ROM
   * Stereo 2W speakers
   * Headphone output
   * Squeeze sensor
   * Accelerometer (motion sensor)
   * Leather casing
   * AC adapter included
   * Wi-fi connectivity
   * Access to the free Chumby Network
   * Over-the-air software updates

It would seem to be a small Linux device (well, certainly the
source-code page (http://files.chumby.com/source/) thinks so :D).
Anyone got one?
